FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Michele Adams Proctor, President and CEO of RenQuest & Associates, Inc., is featured in highly successful PowerNetworking Conference
PowerNetworkingProfessional Networking Training Conference for People of African Decent
Sponsored by FraserNet and Ford Motor Company June 20-23, 2002 -- Cleveland, Ohio.
The first annual PowerNetworking Conference, spearheaded by George C. Fraser, Chairman and CEO of FraserNet was a "huge success." The goal of this conference is to train Black people in the skills of effective networking. Blacks must get together, through networking, to strengthen our communities, build self-esteem, and to leverage and grow our economic power - today, and for generations to come. When we get together to get ahead, the cycle will repeat itself throughout the future. Additionally, it is extremely crucial for us to recognize excellence in our community and witness the positive "fall-out" from this exposure. Black business professionals and entrepreneurs alike must be added to the pantheon of heroes and be held in the same high esteem afforded the preacher, the entertainer, athlete and civil rights leaders - and they too will be well represented at the Conference. The African American Business Hall of Fame & Museum and The Center For the Advancement of African American Entrepreneurship, a dynamic new national initiative, will be announced and thus go a long way in memorializing and creating our Black business icons. The media eagerly promoted the PowerNetworking Conference. For instance, WORD Network televised the conference from beginning to end to 34 million homes. The American Urban Radio Network broadcasts the Conference "live" on the Bev Smith Show on Thursday June 20th and Friday June 21st. In addition, the ABC Radio Network, partnering with WORD Network, broadcast the Conference throughout gospel stations across the country. PowerNetworking also receives exposure via Radio One in Cleveland and Detroit, plus WLIB/WBLS in New York. Michele Adams Proctor's workshop on "Taking Inventory of Your Strengths and Weaknesses" received an enthusiastic response from conference attendees, making a huge impression on all participants. Based on the workshop content and quality of presentations, the PowerNetworking Conference is already starting next year's registration process. Both sponsors and participants alike are expressing enthusiasm for the next networking Conference.
